The Union Missionary Baptist Church will hold its first annual “Unity in the Community School Supply Give Away” in conjunction with St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Brookville at 6 p.m. Aug. 13.
The Union Missionary Baptist Church is located on the corner of Bell and Farrell. The two churches will give away at least 200 backpacks stocked with spiral notebooks, paper, pencil boxes, pencils, crayons, folders, pens, glue and hand sanitizer for students K-12.
Backpacks will only be given to students who are present on the day of the give away. In addition, there will be a church outing with food, fun, fellowship and faith, specifically a brief evangelistic message entitled “God’s Paradise Pack!”
