Complaining Christians
by Pastor Darryl K. Fields | October 25, 2013
My Beloved,I read an article today that was centered on the ideal of complaining Christians. I have often lifted up the ideal that Christians ought not complain, but proclaim the goodness of God. While the practice of proclaiming is far more productive, but to simply deny the fact that human beings are going to complain is simply not being practical. Thereby, how are we to combat complaining.
We must first recognize complaining to others is not beneficial. The Bible admonishes Christians in this way, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (I Peter 5:7) Christians should not carry our complaints to others, but shares our complaints with omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent God of the universe. The Psalmist proclaimed the goodness of God, but they were not afraid to complain to the Controller of the Cosmos, Jesus. Psalm 44 and 89 are shining examples of complaining to the Controller of the Cosmos. Saints, remember when your stressed don’t complain to others take your complaints to the Savior. He knows and He cares.
Sincerely yours and securely His,
